The JDRF Youth Advocacy Leadership Programs outlines 10 activities, asking participants to complete 8 of the activities. Upon completion, these superstars will be named a Youth Advocacy Leader (YAL) and will receive a certificate in the mail, along with the potential to do more with JDRF down the road.

If your child intends to apply for 2017 Children’s Congress, becoming a Youth Advocacy Leader will strengthen their application. This will also prepare them for future T1D advocacy experiences, such as meeting with Members of Congress during in-District Promise or New Member meetings.

The Youth Advocacy Leadership Program packet can be found here.
