JDRF Seattle Guild announces Chair and Honoree for 30th Anniversary Dream Gala

―With the help of supporters, the JDRF Seattle Guild will raise more than $3,000,000 for type 1 diabetes research ―

The JDRF Seattle Guild is proud to announce that Brian and Lelia Olenik are this year’s Seattle Dream Gala’s co-chairs. Brian Olenik is the Vice President, County Manager at Chicago Title. We are excited to present the 2019 Living & Giving Award to this year’s honoree Wells Fargo. More than 900 guests are expected to attend this year’s 30th anniversary Dream Gala on March 9, 2019 in support of JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

Wells Fargo’s generosity and desire to improve lives is vastly evident by their past support of JDRF, as well as their support of community development, education, human services, and numerous charitable organizations both here and around the world.

The black tie event will include a cocktail reception, a multi-course dinner, silent and live auctions, entertainment, and JDRF’s signature Fund A Cure program—in which 100 percent of tax-deductible contributions drive research for artificial pancreas technology, beta cell replacement therapies, and other critical JDRF research priorities. The JDRF Seattle Guild Dream Gala is the premier gala in Seattle, and one not to be missed. Proceeds from the event will go toward research focused on curing, preventing and treating T1D.

“Everyone who comes out to support the event will bring us one step closer to turning Type One into Type None. Whether you know someone affected by type 1 diabetes or not, your support will help give hope and relieve some of the burden of people with T1D and their families,” said Deniz Satir, Executive Director. “We are grateful for the incredible support of all sponsors, donors,  and guests of the JDRF Dream Gala, who are helping us fund important T1D research for the 1.25 million Americans with this serious disease. We are confident that together, we can reach our vision of a world without T1D.”
