Spotlight on JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes

One rider’s thoughts

Can I really do this!  Yes you can!  I wasn’t sure so I started training by riding 10 miles, then upped it to 15 and eventually went higher.  I didn’t ride the whole way – you don’t have to.  But, what fun we had.  We choose a flat ride – Amelia Island – and loved its charm and beautiful scenery.

Everyone was so supportive – our team, the ride Marshalls along the way, and all the other riders.  What a great way to do something for your loved ones with diabetes, and get some exercise.  We met riders from all over the country and we all came together for a common goal.

You can do this.  Sign up for a ride today – it will give you a tremendous feeling of accomplishment while meeting new friends. Let’s turn Type 1 into Type None.
