We are less than one month away from our Indianapolis One Walk and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve got a lot of fun things planned for Walk Day that we are eager to tell you about.

• We will have a 5K route this year, as well as a 1 mile option! Along the Walk Route, we will have a number of cheerleading squads, dance teams, mascots, musicians, and other sources of entertainment to help boost morale for our walkers!
• The Kids’ Area will include face painting, crafts, photo opportunities, and other pre-walk fun!
• Our Vendor Booth Area will contain a variety of T1D affiliated companies which walkers can visit for more information about their products and services.
• A space will be reserved in the Team Village for all teams that raise $10,000+ by September 23! This area will include a banner with the team’s name, special goodies, and also the opportunity to speak with JDRF Board & Staff members.
• Any individual walker that raises $1,000+ will be recognized as a V1P! V1Ps will receive access to our exclusive V1P tent where they will receive breakfast, photo opportunities, special goodies, and lanyards indicating their fundraising status. The first 75 individuals to reach V1P status will also receive free and premiere parking on Walk day!
• On Walk Day we will have a t-shirt contest! One lucky team will be awarded the title of best t-shirt and will receive a trophy showcasing their creativity! This will be a traveling trophy that teams pass along from one year to the next.
• Sysco Foods is donating a variety of foods again this year, post Walk, for all walkers! Two of the food vendors that will be present include Chef Suzanne Catering and The Tamale Place. Keep checking our website , under the Walk Day Information and Resources tab, closer to Walk Day as we confirm more local restaurants!
