Check out what first time Rider, Kristina Linden, JDRF Development Manager, had to say about her experience riding in Santa Fe for the 2018 Ride to Cure Diabetes:

Before riding in Santa Fe this year for the JDRF Ride, I had not been on a bike in 16 years! In fact, I didnā€™t even own a bike when I registered. My training was mostly in the gym, but about a month out, I rode 3-4 times for no more than 7 miles. Needless to say, I did not feel well prepared and I was especially nervous about sticking out as an extremely inexperienced rider. As it turns out, I was not at all alone in my experience level or lack of hardcore training. Thanks to the tips, encouragement and structure provided by JDRF staff and volunteers, I felt incredibly welcomed, valued, and supported. I am proud to say that I made it 33 miles at an elevation of almost 7,000 ft.

Where will you ride this year?
