JDRF MD Youth Ambassador Program: Now Accepting Applications!

The JDRF Maryland Chapter is accepting applications for our Youth Ambassador Program. We are currently seeking local children and teens living with (T1D) between the ages of 5 and 18 years old who are interested in representing JDRF Maryland at chapter events throughout the year such as One Walk, TypeOneNation Summit, Gala, National Diabetes Awareness Month events, etc. This is a wonderful opportunity to represent all youth living with T1D while helping raise awareness and education within the local community! We are currently seeking eager and dedicated Youth Ambassadors who can make a year-long commitment to the program.

We rely on our Youth Ambassadors to be the face of our chapter and steward our donors. We ask our Youth Ambassadors to commit to participating in either the JDRF TypeOneNation Summit or the JDRF One Walk, in addition to at least one other event/activity throughout the term. In addition, all Youth Ambassadors must be available to participate in projects dedicated to thanking our donors and supporters. Parents of the Youth Ambassador must give permission for their child to become a Youth Ambassador and must be willing to support their child in this program and provide transportation to and from Youth Ambassador events and activities and assist them in fulfilling their duties as needed.

If your child is interested in applying to become a JDRF Maryland Youth Ambassador, please click the link below. At the end of the application period, we will schedule an in-person meeting in early October with all interested applicants to discuss the program further and answer questions.
