2020 Maryland One Walk Update

in

Dear Supporters,

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID‐19, as well as those who are concerned about its impact on the type one diabetes (T1D) community. We, as a community, rise to challenges, and there is no better time than now to show that we are truly stronger together.

With the rising incidence of COVID‐19 cases across the United States, JDRF has made the difficult decision to not hold an in‐person gathering for the JDRF One Walk, Baltimore on Saturday April 25, 2020. Instead, we will be hosting a virtual experience! We believe this decision is in the best interest of our JDRF community and we want to do our part to slow the spread of this outbreak.

We ARE encouraging everyone to join us for a virtual JDRF One Walk on Facebook and Instagram on Saturday April 25th! We will ask you and your team to put on your JDRF best and get active! More details will be coming soon via email, website, and our social media pages (search JDRF Maryland).

Please share this information with any of your walkers who may not have received this message. If you have immediate questions or concerns, please contact me at 443-792-4229 or kluchey@jdrf.org.

Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do to support JDRF’s mission to fund type 1 diabetes research. Even in the face of adversity, JDRF remains laser‐focused on our mission. Your continued support is vital as we work towards a world without diabetes.

Be Safe,
