We invite you to craft a meaningful “Dedicated to Honor” Basket in honor of your loved ones or yourself, as we celebrate our progress at the annual Denim & Diamonds Gala.  The event this year will be on March 30, 2019 at the Shenandoah Club.  This wonderful evening, is one of the largest events in the Roanoke Valley and we hope to raise over $415,000.

You might be thinking “what’s a Dedicated to Honor basket?” Well it’s fun and meaningful!

You choose the theme of your Basket.  Some families shop with their honoree to fill it with just the right items, and some families request donations from their favorite shops and vendors.  This is your opportunity to get creative and represent your loved ones. Fill a basket with all of your family’s favorite board games or movies. Think outside of the basket – how about a recipe book and your favorite frying pan? A cooler? Maybe even a scooter?

Commitment for participation is required by March 1st, along with a digital photo of your honoree(s). Simply contact Nancy Burns at NBurns@jdrf.org or (540) 772-1975 if you’re interested in participating. Basket items and a completed procurement form (attached) are due by March 15, 2019—you may package the items to your liking or drop your individual items off and we can wrap them up for you.  The typical value of a Dedicated to Honor Basket is around $100. We are also happy to offer support in terms of ideas, themes, and items that make for a successful basket!
