Seeking Members for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee

in ,

JDRF is dedicated to improving diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across our organization — internally and externally. JDRF Mid-Atlantic seeks volunteers who are passionate about increasing diversity, in all its forms, throughout JDRF’s programs as part of our Mid-Atlantic DEIB Committee.

The Mid-Atlantic DEIB Committee is focused on ensuring that DEIB values are incorporated into the full range of volunteer activities across the chapter footprint. Members of the DEIB Committee will connect with other chapter volunteer committees to identify individuals from underrepresented communities and those with diverse backgrounds to provide advice, resources, time, and partnerships.

Objectives of the Mid-Atlantic DEIB Committee include:

  • Creating DEIB discussion topic for quarterly Board meetings
  • Engaging with chapter committee leaders and volunteers
  • Understanding landscape of opportunity in the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Uncovering opportunities for engagement

Members of the DEIB Committee should expect to commit up to three (3) hours per month, including time spent in monthly virtual DEIB Committee meetings. Our current DEIB Committee members are listed on our website.

For more information, or to express interest in being part of the Mid-Atlantic DEIB committee, please contact Jaclyn Toll, executive director, at (202) 465-4116 or jtollbasse@jdrf.org.
