A message from our 2020 Gala Co-Chairs

Dear Friends,

As valued supporters of the JDRF Mountain Valley Chapter, we hope you and your families are all doing well, staying home, and staying healthy during this unprecedented time. Your support truly means the world to us. We are writing today to update you on our 2020 JDRF Hope Gala and how you can continue to partner with us to Turn Type 1 Into Type None!

Given the heightened levels of concern over the coronavirus and our prioritization of the well-being of our community, we are no longer able to come together in person on May 1st for the Hope Gala. While we cannot meet and celebrate together in person, we are still going to “Cut Loose for a Cure”—virtually! More details will be communicated regarding a date for our virtual Gala, including an online auction, as soon as they have been solidified. #MVGALAGOESVIRTUAL

FUND A CURE DONATIONS TO UNDERWRITE
JDRF-RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

We are so proud to honor the University of Utah Diabetes and Metabolism Research Center this year. It is with great excitement that we announce 100% of the money raised through Fund A Cure donations for the JDRF Hope Gala will be used to underwrite JDRF-funded research at the University of Utah. JDRF has an extraordinary and diverse portfolio of researchers at the University of Utah. Their work represents the most innovative and promising directions leading us to a world without T1D. The University of Utah has become a powerhouse of T1D science, backed by the local JDRF community whose philanthropy has and will continue to help the institution excel. You have an incredible opportunity to support T1D research at a local level–which is critical now more than ever!

DONATE TO FUND A CURE

Our T1D community is #StrongerTogether and we truly appreciate the INCREDIBLE generosity of our sponsors, donors and volunteers as we continue to move our mission forward. Thank you for your ongoing support and flexibility as we finalize details as to what is to come next. Please reach out to Mountain Valley Chapter Executive Director, Mike Somers, with any questions: msomers@jdrf.org.

Sincerely,

Eric and Karen Slaymaker
