Summer Camps and T1D
Summer camp season is upon us! Living with type 1 diabetes does not have to stand in the way of an amazing camp experience that can include hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding and forging life-long friendships. Colorado and Wyoming are home to a variety of T1D specific summer camps that are fully staffed and include expert T1D medical teams. Options include sleep-away camps, day camps and for the first time in Colorado an adult summer camp.

Camp Colorado is all about empowered adventure. Hosted by the America Diabetes Association, Camp Colorado provides one Association-trained diabetes counselor for every four campers. Camp Colorado is a non-intimidating place to expand your knowledge of diabetes while making new friends and creating experiences you’ll be telling other people about for years to come.

Camp Hope offers Wyoming families a local diabetes camp experience that caters to the needs of children and teens living with T1D. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:4 and a full medical staff is present at all times so campers can enjoy a week of fun camp activities.

COLORADO SLIPSTREAM 2019 – ADULT T1D CAMP
A Slipstream weekend is an active, social and educational weekend for adults living with type 1 diabetes. It’s a weekend jam-packed with outdoor adventure, engaging workshops, and the chance to meet incredible people.
