Young Leadership Committee
The Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a group of passionate and motivated young professionals who believe in JDRF’s efforts to cure T1D while finding ways to improve the lives of people with T1D today.
The YLC is dedicated to supporting and raising awareness for JDRF through various fundraising, networking and social events that attract young professionals in the Boston area. Members have a special connection to T1D—whether they live with the disease every day or are connected through a friend or family member.

Reach the Beach I YLC Agony of Duhfeet
9/14 – 9/15
Bretton Woods, NH to Hampton Beach, NH
For the third year in a row, Team YLC Agony of Duhfeet will be running the oldest and longest relay race in the United States in support of JDRF! Our team is actively training for the 200-mile, 12-person relay race in New Hampshire on September 14 and 15. With the majority of our team living with T1D themselves, this run is so important to raising awareness and funds for a cure. Help the team meet its goal of $30,000 at the link below!
Not a runner, but interested in attending Reach the Beach? Reach the Beach needs volunteers! Email Anna Lukes at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up to be a Transition Area volunteer at 1 of the 36 transition areas on the course.

Join or support our walk team! The funds our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support life-changing research.
The JDRF Walk is a great way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes. At the walk, those with T1D can look around and see all the support they have from their friends, family, and community. On Walk Day, we celebrate how close we are to a cure and fight for the dollars needed until it is found.
