It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Month!

in

National Volunteer Week is April 21-27, 2024! All week long, JDRF will be celebrating our remarkable volunteer partners who dedicate themselves to supporting, connecting, and empowering the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.

Since JDRF’s inception, volunteers have been at the forefront of our work. What began as the desire of two hopeful mothers to find a cure for T1D by volunteering their time advocating and raising funds for research has evolved into JDRF becoming the leading global organization harnessing the power of research, advocacy, and community engagement to advance life-changing breakthroughs for T1D.

This yearā€™s National Volunteer Week theme is Forward. Forward celebrates the progress our volunteers have helped us make, and the progress thatā€™s to come. Looking forward is what fuels our vision and mission to cure, prevent, and treat T1D and its complications.

From Executive Council, board members, and event committees to office volunteers, advocacy leaders, and youth ambassadors, our New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter is fortunate to have so many dedicated people who share the same drive and commitment to finding a cure for T1D. We thank each and every one of you who share your time, talent, and passion with us.

We are immensely grateful for the ongoing support and cannot say thank you enough to all our volunteers! Together, we will continue to push forward until a world without T1D becomes a reality.
