Join Atlantic Health System and JDRF for a Safesitter & T1D Course. Babysitting is a big responsibility and we want to make sure you are ready. This session is geared towards pre-teens and teens who are interested in learning more about he babysitting basics .

JDRF will provide a 60 minute intro to babysitting course and Certified Diabetes Educators and nurses from Atlantic Health System will train on the basics of T1D care. Your pre-teen or teen will be ready to start caring for loved ones with T1D.
Safesitter Overview: Behavior Management, safety Skills, diaper changing and child care duties
T1D Hands-On Skills: Checking blood sugar, carb counting basics, treating low blood sugar, managing high blood sugar and administering glucagon
8:30am registration
$15.00 fee covers breakfast and safesitter booklet
