Planning to visit in Napa this fall? Of course you are! We are lucky to live near one of California’s most beautiful destinations. Nestled in the heart of this majestic wine country is Honig Vineyard & Winery. There is a special reason to visit this this spectacular place throughout the month of November:  Honig  will donate their tasting fees ($15/person)  to JDRF in support of National Diabetes Awareness Month. Make an appointment to visit Honig, taste their wines, and help support our cause. Look for the table tent in their tasting room which explains their support of National Diabetes Awareness Month.

When Sophia Honig, the 6 year old daughter of Michael and Stephanie Honig, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) a year ago, they realized the need for more research into this life altering disease.

Honig is a family owned and operated winery located in Rutherford, California. The family has been growing grapes on their property since 1964, and has been making award winning wines since 1980, focusing production on Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. With a concern for the environment and their community, the Honig’s vineyard is sustainably certified, and the winery is run on solar energy, and they support local and national charitable causes.
