Join JDRF and Coloma River Races for an exciting, scenic journey through Sacramento’s backyard! The 2018 Coloma River Run promises a unique adventure across stunning trails and breathtaking terrain. With all proceeds directly benefiting T1D research, it’s a wonderful opportunity to support a great cause while challenging your own limits.

This event truly offers something for everyone, regardless of background and ability.  Choose from three different races for a personalized trail experience. The 5K race is relatively flat turning left along the Gerly Loop, while the steeper 10K and 10-mile races climb the connector trail and wrap around Conan Ranch. All three runs begin at 8:00 a.m. from the Magnolia Parking Lot, located off Highway 49 in the Cronan Ranch Trail Area. Please note that dogs and strollers are prohibited from all three routes.

The River Races would be impossible without Board member Roger Leasure and his wife Salena, who developed this unique event in order to combine healthy lifestyle choices with meaningful fundraising opportunities. They found inspiration in the beautiful landscapes of Coloma and their home for the past 12 years. They are also parents of two T1D children.

Regular registration ($45) closes on May 16 at 11:59 p.m. Late registration costs an additional $10 and will be available on the Friday before the run from 4-7 p.m., and on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. Be sure to sign up soon at https://www.colomariverrun.com!

On the day of the race, we encourage participants to carpool — the Magnolia Parking Lot only holds 80 vehicles, and additional cars must park at Hart to Hart Winery across the highway.

This exciting event concludes with a post-race after party, complete with refreshments, music, and a barbecue for all runners to enjoy, offering a relaxing end to a thrilling adventure through Coloma’s beautiful landscapes. We hope to see you there!
