The One Party Gala presented by Capitol City Stucco will take place on Saturday, May 9^th.  This year we are in a NEW VENUE – the Sheraton Grand Sacramento.  Each year, we gather as a group of committed supporters to celebrate JDRF’s most exciting achievements and raise funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

The black-tie optional event will feature a cocktail reception, silent and live auction, gourmet dinner, Fund A Cure presentation, and a spectacular after-party.  Nearly 400 guests are expected to attend this year’s One Party Gala in support of JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research.

The annual One Party Gala is a high-profile event offering an evening of networking, entertainment, gourmet food and fun.  It also provides an opportunity to recognize those making critical contributions to creating a world without T1D.  JDRF Northern California is honored to announce Maribeth Eggleston and Lisa Stanton as this year’s Gala Co-Chairs.  Maribeth, who’s college-aged son has type 1 diabetes, has generously given her time to organize the Gala for the past 3 years.  Lisa Stanton, who’s 5-year old granddaughter was diagnosed with T1D two years ago, is a Board Member and joining Maribeth in leading the planning efforts.  “I believe that science is closing in on a cure for T1D and that a cure is not only possible, but likely within my granddaughter’s lifetime.”  We are grateful for their leadership and many contributions to the success of the One Party Gala!

A special feature each year at the Gala is our silent and live auction.  We have a great selection of one-of-a-kind experiences we know will inspire competitive bidding, all for a good cause!  Interested in a VIP NASCAR experience for 4 people at the Sonoma Raceway?  Maybe you enjoy aerobatics, so bid on a exclusive Sacramento Airshow experience with a behind the scenes tour for 4 and view from the Control Tower.  How about a gourmet dinner prepared by a local Sacramento Metro Firehouse for you and your guests?  Or, maybe you’re seeking a relaxing get-away at the luxurious Edgewood Tahoe Resort for two nights with a round of golf, followed by a gourmet dinner at the Chef’s Table at the Bistro for you and 8 of your friends and/ or family.  If you have an exciting auction item you wish to add to the event to help raise funds for JDRF, please contact our office or complete the online auction donation form.
