You’re invited to join us on Wednesday, January 16th for the 2019 Ride to Cure Kick Off!

Meet our staff, coaches, and fellow riders representing our Chapters Ride Team, Team NorCal, and learn more about the JDRF Ride to Cure program. Whether you’re ready to ride in 2019 or just want more information, all are welcome!

This social get-together will also celebrate the opening of registration for the 2019 Ride to Cure and provide an opportunity to learn more about the program. Jen Dole, JDRF Ride Ambassador, shares, “Come learn about what makes the JDRF ride so special and where you can ride in 2019, including a ride in Sonoma! It’s a great way to get motivated to ride and all levels of riders attend. If you are competitive and want to ride the full route in record time (100 miles), you will find fellow riders with the same goal. Or if you just want to ride as far as you can and enjoy the camaraderie of the fabulous people and event, you will have no problem finding like-minded riders.”

When: Wednesday January 16, 5:30-7:30pm
Where: Hot Italian, 1627 16th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
RSVP: Please rsvp to Stacy Wear, swear@jdrf.org or 916-576-1380
*Light snacks will be provided and a no-host bar will be available.

Additionally, members of Team NorCal will talk about their experiences from the 2018 JDRF Ride to Cure bike trip in Saratoga Springs, New York and answer any questions you might have regarding participation.

If you can’t make it, but want to learn more or would like to request to join the JDRF Team Norcal Facebook group, contact Stacy Wear at (916) 576-1380 or swear@jdrf.org.

JDRF Ride to Cure is a series of destination bicycling events that take place all over the United States. To date, the Ride to Cure program has raised over $50 million for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The JDRF Ride isn’t just a bike ride: it’s a multi-day event where hundreds of riders come together from all over the world to make new friendships, experience the unparalleled camaraderie of the Ride community and raise money to find a cure for T1D.
