For the second time, all three JDRF Chapters across North Carolina joined forces to present a Statewide Family Retreat on Friday, January 27 – Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the beautiful Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro.

Over 200 families attended the Retreat, networking with other families living with diabetes. They met families who were newly diagnosed and those who’ve been living with type 1 for decades…they met families with toddlers with type 1, others with teens with type 1, and still others with parents with type 1.

The formal agenda included informative, interesting keynote speakers and breakout sessions, research updates, and a vendor fair. Activities were provided for kids of all ages, with special sessions for teens.
