JDRF Children’s Congress – Meet Anya Tribune

Children's Congress coverage

JDRF Children’s Congress, our flagship advocacy event, takes place in Washington, D.C., today through July 10.  161 of JDRF’s advocates, ages 4 to 17, will bring an important message for Congress to renew the Special Diabetes Program (SDP). This federal program, which currently provides $150 million per year for diabetes research, has made possible some of the most important advances in T1D research, and is essential to maintain our momentum in finding life-changing treatments and a cure for T1D.  Watch a spotlight of Charlotte’s very own Anya Tribune, who represented JDRF on Friday morning on WCCB Rising, as she prepared for the opportunity of a lifetime.  Check out the video by clicking here.

We urge you to stay tuned for continuing coverage of Children’s Congress and for more information on this year’s delegates at cc.jdrf.org.
