Need Help with Your Diabetes Prescription and Insulin Costs?

There’s no doubt about it: Diabetes supplies and insulin are expensive. If you or a loved one is looking for ways to help offset those costs, be sure to visit JDRF’s listing of possible sources of assistance.

Want to make your voice heard in order to help regulate drug costs and promote patient choice?

Be sure to join JDRF’s advocacy efforts! The advocacy team keeps you informed of the latest government and pharmaceutical decisions.

For example, United Healthcare recently announced a policy change stating that they would no longer cover all brands of insulin pumps for children. We need your help to send a strong message to UHC that limiting choice is unacceptable – encourage families to send a letter to UHC here. For additional information, please see JDRF’s statement and blogpost.

Also, the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions recently introduced S.192, which includes a five-year renewal of the Special Diabetes Program (SDP). SDP funds critical T1D research and its renewal is one of JDRF’s top legislative priorities this year.
