Fort Worth Hires Executive Director

The JDRF Fort Worth Chapter is pleased to announce that we will be led by a new Executive Director, Chris LaTurno. Our regional and local teams are thrilled about this announcement and  can’t wait to see how our chapter grows under his leadership.

Chris is currently the Executive Director for the JDRF Chapter in Raleigh, NC, but will be assuming his role in the Greater Fort Worth/Arlington Chapter in May of 2019.  During his four years in Raleigh, the chapter there has seen revenue growth of 15% and experienced its first $1 million dollar Gala!  He is an engaging and passionate individual who believes in encouraging others and stewarding donors and volunteers in a first class way in order to find the cure for T1D sooner than later. Chris’ first exposure to JDRF came when he attended a JDRF Walk Kick-Off and met a mother whose five year old son was diagnosed with T1D.  Chris, whose son was also five at the time, knew that he had to do something. Prior to joining JDRF, Chris worked in the commercial banking industry.  He currently lives in Clayton, North Carolina with his wife, Lisa, their two children, Jackson and Eden, mother in law Jan, and world’s greatest beagle, Lucy.
