Ride to Cure – La Crosse and Sonoma

in

JDRF Dallas is very lucky to have a special rider AND coach – Elizabeth Hamilton! Elizabeth participated in two rides this summer. She coached in La Crosse, and participated as a rider alongside her husband, Rob Hamilton, at the inaugural Sonoma Ride to Cure. Read about Elizabeth’s experience as a rider below. Thank you Elizabeth, and all of the JDRF Riders for going the distance to cure T1D!

The 2019 JDRF ride season is proving to be a record-breaking year! We kicked off the season with 650 riders in La Crosse, WI (with a rainbow at the starting line). The ride raised over $2.1 million! Two weeks later, we had 660 riders (148 were T1D riders) tackle the beautiful rolling hills of Sonoma, CA. This ride was complete with scenic views, a rest stop serving tacos and raised an astounding $3.1 million. We have 3 more rides schedule this year- Saratoga Springs, NY, Amelia Island, FL and Death Valley, CA. The JDRF ride weekends not only raise money to help find a cure for T1D, but they provide inspiration and hope for all that are affected by this disease. I encourage you to become a part of our JDRF ride family. It is an experience you will never forget!
