The Walk will take place rain or shine.

WALK ROUTE

Length of Walk: 1.77 miles.  If interested in doing a 5K, all you will need to do is walk the route an extra time.

Please bring any money you have to turn in on Walk day to check-in.  There will be collection envelopes for your convenience.

V1P’S

Fundraise $1,000 individually or more to receive access to the V1P tent.  The V1P tent includes an expedited check-in process and exclusive goodies including specialty refreshments.  Fundraising minimum must be rasied before day of event or by the money of the walk.

V1P recognition:

• Lanyard: Identifying you as a V1P
• Access to the V1P tent which will have catered breakfast
• A hanging star with your name
• The opportunity to meet Kyle Cochran (American Ninja Warrior contestant)
• And a special V1P award with recognition on stage! (ALL money needs to be turned in to JDRF office by Wednesday, October 14th at noon.)

NEW FAMILIES

New family walk teams are encouraged to visit the new family team tent!  Teams will be greeted by volunteers as well as have the opportunity to mingle with other new family teams.

FOOD, FUN & ENTERTAINMENT

Walk day will feature a FUN Kid’s Corner, with a Rock Wall, Kiddy Carnival, Bungee Jump, Tubs of Fun, Wacky Shack, Game Box and so much more!  Entertainment: The Chris Saucedo Band, Groupo Folklorico de Bendiciones, Sarah and Stephen Pils and so much more.

Granola bars, fruit, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be provided by H-E-B as well as coffee will be available for you upon arrival from Starbucks.

Special Guest, American Ninja Warrior favorite Kyle Cochran, will be making a special appearance at the Walk.

PARKING

We have over 2,000 great parking spots on  campus! Access to park on campus will be open from 8—9:30am. We ask that no one leave during the Walk (10-11am)—for the safety of the Walkers. Everyone will be free to leave as soon as everyone is done walking at approx. 11am. If you choose to park off campus, you will need to do so at your own risk. JDRF is not responsible if you get towed.
