With gala right around the corner, we just want to take a minute to spotlight all of our gala leadership who are making this year’s 20^th Anniversary Platinum Promise Ball the best yet.

Our gala chairs Mary and Mark D’Andrea have been working hard since last year’s gala to bring you a “Platinum” night you won’t forget. From ambiance to entertainment to fundraising, they have thought of it all!

Our auction chair Judith Perdue has brought together an amazing collection of live and silent auction items you won’t want to miss. Our auction is filled with autographed sports memorabilia, vacation homes all over the U.S., cool technology for your home, local experiences and don’t forget our adorable goldendoodle.

Our corporate underwriting chair Michael Golemi has been pounding the pavement and making calls to colleagues day and night in support of JDRF and our Promise Ball. He’s filling the room with corporate leaders around Houston.

Our Fund A Cure chair is already well known for his amazing speeches. Ernest Hunter II has been reaching out to friends and families, going to lots of one-on-one meetings, and attending events left and right to ensure we break records for funding research this year. You’ll have a chance to hear from Ernest at the gala.

Finally, our honoree for the evening is Daniel Yates. Dan has been a longtime supporter of JDRF and has brought so many companies, friends, and family along with him. Dan is not afraid to ask for support because he truly believes in JDRF and our mission. The room will be filled with so many of Dan’s friends and family and we cannot wait to honor him for everything he has done for JDRF.
