JDRF President and CEO Dr. Aaron Kowalski Traverses Virginia

in

JDRF’s President and CEO, Dr. Aaron Kowalski, invested significant time and energy travelling across Virginia in January, meeting with our type 1 diabetes communities and sharing their mission impact. Aaron provided a research update in Virginia Beach, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Roanoke where standing-room only crowds turned out to learn more.

Aaron spoke to incredible advances we saw in 2019, from our ability to delay T1D by 2 years, to a $950 million investment toward cures by Vertex, to the new Control-IQ closed loop artificial pancreas system just FDA-approved and on the market, to our work advocating for greater choice, access, and affordability for our T1D community.

Dr. Kowalski also spoke to amazing things on the research horizon, amazing things that are happening because of people likeĀ youĀ and your commitment to keep our T1D community healthy and happy until we can walk away through a variety of potential cures.
