The Ride to Cure Diabetes is Amazing!

Our 2018 JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes season had:

62 riders that included 21 first-time riders and 16 T1D riders

These riders participated at 5 ride locations and together raised almost $300,000

To date, the JDRF Ride program has raised more than $47 million for research to deliver life-changing therapies and, one day, a cure for T1D. It isnā€™t just a bike ride: itā€™s an experience that brings hundreds of riders together from all over the world.

The Westchester/Fairfield/Hudson Valley riders are dedicated to the cause. New friendships are made each year at each ride that will last a lifetime. Our group includes many families and individuals who gather together for the same mission: to turn type one into type none.

John Denneen of Somers, father of T1D son Ryan, stated after the Saratoga Ride, ā€œI realized that the JDRF rides are one of my few opportunities to prove to myself and Ryan that I am all in and committed. Ā I will do more and push harder each year so that he and others will not have to. I am dedicated on all fronts, but on this ride, I find a way to dig deeper than ever. I really believe itā€™s the group and the cause that makes me bring itā€.
