in , , ,

This year’s T1D Youth Day is fast approaching, but there is still time to register! T1D Youth Day features sessions for both children and their parents about navigating life with type 1 diabetes (T1D). This fun-filled day is a great opportunity to connect with others in the T1D community, learn a great deal from experts in the field, and to have a lot of fun! T1D Youth Day will be held on Thursday, July 25th from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Blackhawk Church in Middleton. This event is FREE and includes a t-shirt, goody bag, and lunch for all of the participants!

At T1D Youth Day, parents and kids will be separated and attend sessions customized for them. Here is a sneak peek at some of the sessions that will be offered:

  • Parents Sessions
    • The Nutritional Side of T1D
    • Everyday Living: the Practical Side of Living with T1D
    • The Latest and Greatest Research
  • Children Sessions
    • Eat Smart, Play Hard
    • “What If…”
    • Learning Through Games
    • Pre-College Breakout (for grades 6 – 8)

In addition to these sessions, there will also be an opening and closing session, plus time throughout the day to mingle with diabetes vendors such as Medtronic, Omnipod, Tandem, and more!

We are so excited about this year’s line-up and hope that you are, too. If you have not already, please register by visiting this link. Space is limited, so don’t wait, register today!
