Madison Mallards Donate Check

Each year TDS partners with the Madison Mallards, a summer collegiate baseball team, and donates money to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Western Wisconsin Chapter (JDRF). Since 2004 TDS has donated 25$ for every base stolen by the Mallards during the season.

In 2012 the Mallards stole a total of 117 bases. As a result TDS donated $2,925 to JDRF to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). That’s the most in the campaign’s history and it brings TDS’ total contribution to more than $20,000!

The check was presented to JDRF on Tuesday June 4 at the Duck Pond before the Mallards took on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Through the first 8 games of the season the Mallards have stolen 15 bases. Right now they’re on pace to steal 130.
