We want to hear from You!

Share your Story. Build Connections. Be a Champion for the Cause

“Stories create community and enable us to see through the eyes of others.”

*Guest post from Kristin Stelter*

Kristin is a wife and mother of two who has called Northeast Wisconsin home for the past 22 years.  Her son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2016, and she has since devoted her time to build awareness around the cause.  With a strong family history of T1D, she works to educate, advocate, and inspire others in the community to share their stories of living with type 1 diabetes in hopes to educate others and raise funds for a cure.

The JDRF Northeast Wisconsin Chapter wants to hear from you!  We are currently welcoming personal stories from individuals affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) who are interested in sharing their story. Whether a patient, caregiver, loved one or friend affected by T1D, your story is important to us.

Your personal journey is powerful.  It has the ability to inspire others, provide hope, and harness support of our mission to create a world without type 1 diabetes by creating connections within our community and educating others.  Every story matters, and every connection counts.

Whatever your story, we would be delighted to hear from you!  Your journey is an important part of who you are and therefore is important to us.  It’s stories like yours that provide comfort and courage to others whose lives have been touched by T1D

If interested, please email your story and personal photo to Ashleigh Sand at asand@jdrf.org

Please note that by submitting your story, you authorize the JDRF of Northeast Wisconsin Chapter to use it along with your name for promotional purposes in media outreach, social media, website, printed materials and other communication channels.
