Celebrating a Successful National One Walk!

in

Congratulations, Wisconsin! Not only did we walk a collective 5000+ miles, but we raised over $360,000 as a state!

We are so grateful for how you showed up in so many creative ways, from selling masks, to making your own art to fund your team, you have been amazing supporters!

We want to thank our sponsors, who helped make our state-wide event a reality, and thank you to our anonymous donor who provided the $40,000 match to help us reach our goals.

There are still lots of ways to keep celebrating:

  • On November 14, World Diabetes Day, we’re teaming up with the JDRF Ride and Team JDRF programs for the World Diabetes Day Global Challenge, where we’re going to see how many times we can circle the globe with our collective miles as we walk, run and ride together. Signing up is easy, you can visit walk.jdrf.org and if you haven’t already, register as an individual walker, log your miles, and connect your fundraiser to Facebook to boost your fundraising!
  • JDRF joined the world of Roblox! A virtual world where you and your kids can connect and commit to supporting. Find out more, including how to set up your free account and join the game, here.
  • If you missed the celebration video, Mile of Hope, or T-Shirt Hall of Fame, it’s not too late! You can visit our Wisconsin Chapter Walk Site here
  • You can still fundraise and contribute miles toward our mission for the weeks to come! It’s not too late to make an impact. Just remember our new mailing address if you’re sending in checks rather than donating online.
