Daniel Woolf has joined JDRF as Executive Director for the Wisconsin Chapter effective February 20, 2024.

Dan is no stranger to JDRF, introduced to the organization through his T1D neighbor and close friend in 2011. His engagement and support initially centered around Gala and Walk, and it 2013 both he and his wife Megan signed up for their first JDRF Ride in La Crosse. They were “All In”! To say that Ride has become his passion is an understatement. Over the last 10+ years, Dan has risen from participant to coach, and for the past two years he has been a National Ride Coach. In this role he has successfully built and led a national coach committee, strengthening key areas of need for the program, while identifying and empowering peers into leadership roles to support JDRF staff. Dan was also a 2022 nominee for the Erwin Lurie Award.

Most recently, Dan served as a Major Gift Officer with the Ascension Wisconsin Foundation, helping create a culture of philanthropy within the Ascension Wisconsin hospital systems, and assisted in transitioning the Foundation from a site based to a state-wide board structure. He has served as a mentor for onboarding major gift officers, developing best practices for donor engagement, partner identification, and funding opportunities. Prior to this, Dan spent over 20 years focused on new business development in the printing industry.

Dan, and his wife Megan, reside in Appleton, Wisconsin, with their three children, Ethan, Audrey, Charlotte and their Pug, Ruby. When not on his bike, Dan and his family enjoy the arts, food, wine, and all things travel. Welcome to the team, Dan!
