We would like to invite you to contribute a Family Tribute Basket for this year’s Gala, which is being held on Saturday, April 11 at Monona Terrace with “The Secret Garden” as the theme. Attendees bid on these baskets during the silent auction – with all money raised going toward finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

The Family Tribute Basket is a wonderful way for you to participate in the Gala to help raise money for research, even if you do not plan to attend the Gala itself.  Last year, Family Baskets brought in over $9,000 and the baskets added a beautiful, warm personal touch to the evening’s silent auction.

If you would like to donate a family tribute basket, please fill out the Gala Form and send it to the JDRF office as soon as possible via email (westernwi@jdrf.org) or mail. Please get these forms in no later than March 16, 2015.

Please include the following:

1. Choose a theme for your basket.  This is your chance to be creative and have fun!  The options are limitless, so think about items and activities your family enjoys.  See the attached for ideas and theme examples.  Feel free to call me at the number below if you would like to talk about basket ideas.
2. The estimated value of each basket should be $75 or greater.
3. A picture to accompany the basket is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to the basket!  Who are you honoring and why?  Purely optional, but a great way to put faces to Type 1 and raise awareness.
4. Consider asking family members and friends to donate a basket on your loved one’s behalf.

All finished baskets need to be in the JDRF office by March 28, 2015, feel free to drop your basket off sooner if you’d like to! If transportation is a problem, please contact us at 608-833-2873.
