 On Saturday, October 4, 2008 the Boston Walk to Cure Diabetes drew more than 12,000 walkers to the DCR Hatch Shell. The total raised for diabetes research to date is nearly $1.8 million and counting! The Worcester Walk to Cure Diabetes, held on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Worcester State College, attracted more than 2,500 walkers and to date has raised more than $233,000! The New England Chapter - Bay State Branch is extremely proud of our hundreds of volunteers, countless donors, corporate sponsors, and more than 408 family and town teams, 29 school teams, 41 corporate teams, and individual walkers who helped to make the 2008 Boston and Worcester Walks a wonderful success! Thank you for being a part of the cure!
