Please join us in welcoming Celia Wheeler as the new JDRF Southern Nevada Chapter Executive Director.

Celia joins JDRF with more than twenty years of experience as a nonprofit business leader. Celia devoted over ten years to March of Dimes and most recently served as the Executive Director of Market Development for the Sacramento Valley Market. Prior to that, Celia was the Executive Director of the Orange County (CA) Division for five years, and the State March for Babies Walk Director for the Greater Oregon Chapter for three. Celia began her nonprofit career with the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce in Oregon, where she served for twelve years, ten of which as the President & CEO.

“I am so honored to be working with such a committed group of volunteers,” explains Wheeler, “JDRF has an amazing reputation in the non-profit community and I am proud to be part of this passionate and results oriented team.”

Celia brings to JDRF Southern Nevada great successes working in multifaceted, integrated, collaborative environments with volunteers, donors, community, and staff. Her strategic, warm, professional, and get-it-done manner supports her approach to guiding growth in an already successful Chapter.

Celia and her husband Jerry look forward to exploring their new home state and getting to know the JDRF Southern Nevada community.
