Amazing Results, from Beta Cell Replacement to T1D Prevention: The ADA Recap

in

This year’s American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Scientific Sessions was an array of diabetes research and clinical trial results, which brought with it hope and inspiration for people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Here to provide a recap of the Scientific Sessions is Aaron Kowalski, Ph.D., chief mission officer at JDRF. His personal experience of living with T1D for more than 30 years, and his excitement at the ADA conference, brings his message home to the 1.25 million people living with T1D in just the United States.

At JDRF, we hope to one day say goodbye to T1D forever. Until that day comes, we will be here, working on research that will help us prevent, treat and cure T1D and its complications, and you can help. Become an advocate or volunteer, do a JDRF One Walk® or another sporting event or donate. Whatever the way you choose to give to JDRF, you’ll help support breakthroughs that get us closer to a cure—and provide hope to the millions affected by this disease. By raising money and awareness, you’ll help make a world without T1D a reality.
