JDRF Mentor Training June 1!

in

Remember when your child or family member was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D)?  Did you have someone to lean on to help answer all of those seemingly crazy questions?  Someone you could call, text or email, day or night?  Someone who understood what you were saying, regardless how silly it sounded?   Or did you wish you had someone like that?

Dallas Mentor training

JDRF Greater Dallas Chapter is hosting a Mentor Training to coach people to do just that… and we would love for you to be a part of it!  The JDRF Mentor Program matches newly diagnosed individuals and families with others who have lived with T1D for years.  Our JDRF mentors are the voices of experience and hope for those on this unfamiliar journey.  We want our new families to know JDRF as the place that not only works towards a cure for them or their loved ones, but as a place that supports and connects them to others who share the passion for finding a cure.

Whether you are currently involved in our Mentor Program or want to learn more, this morning of networking, support, and fun is for you!  Following the training, enjoy a Rangers game with your family, our treat! We need an accurate head count to order the tickets, so an RSVP is necessary.

To RSVP or for more information, please contact Debra at dcowan@jdrf.org or call 214.764.6777.
