Jim Bayles is attempting to swim from Long Isle, Ontario, Canada to Presque Isle, Erie, PA in Lake Erie, a distance of just under 25 miles.

Jim is doing this to support JDRF’s efforts in finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes not only for his friends stricken with the disease but also for his 7 year old granddaughter, Kayla
