Internship Overview
The New York Chapter of the JDRF seeks an intern to assist with the planning and execution of our spring events which include our annual golf outing and Young Leadership Committee’s “One Night” event which consists of a food & beverage tasting and date auction.Ā  All events directly support the fundraising efforts of the Chapter.

The Special Events Intern will work closely with the Special Events Department to prepare for the upcoming events. Responsibilities will include assisting with phone calls, creating documents, research, logistical planning and day to day administrative tasks, and various projects as needed.Ā  The intern will also be expected to learn about and maintain a working knowledge of JDRF and its mission to find a cure for diabetes and its complications.

Position Requirements:
Must be a matriculating student; credit for internship preferred
Attendance at all events
Strong communication skills
Interest in non-profit events and fundraising

Commitment:Ā  Minimum of 20 hours per week
