Walk Transportation – Philadelphia

IMPORTANT PARKING & TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

A City walk experience is always a tricky one for parking, so try to plan your transportation in advance. Below, we’ve offered some transportation options for your Walk-day convenience. If you find on-street parking, please be sure to read the signs carefully and feed the meter.

Driving

Public Transportation
Please click here for a list of SEPTA Regional Rail Schedules. If you take your regional train to the Suburban Station exit, walking directions are as follows:

If you exit onto 16th or 17th Streets: Head North and turn left onto Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Continue straight and the Philadelphia Museum of Art will be straight ahead.
If you exit onto Market Street: Turn right onto 17th Street, walk North (approximately 2 blocks) and then turn left onto Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Continue straight and the Philadelphia Museum of Art will be straight ahead.

Parking
Street parking may be available on surrounding streets (map can be found on the Philadelphia Museum of Art website). Please observe all posted parking signs when parking in on-street parking spaces.

Please note that we are still accepting shuttle bus reservations: Please contact Jo-Ell Robinson, jrobinson@jdrf.org, if you’d like to a reserve a spot ($2) on our Walk day shuttle from either Bala Cynwyd (7:30am/8:00am/8:30am) or the Granite Run Mall in Media (8:00am/8:30am). Spots must be reserved by October 21, 2013.
