The 2014 Promise Ball, held April 26, 2014, raised more than $1.1 million funding research that will better the lives of millions of Americans living with type 1 diabetes.  JDRF has research projects in 17 countries totaling $587 million   currently taking place.  And since its founding in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.8 billion to diabetes research.  JDRF’s efforts have helped to significantly advance the care of people with this disease and have expanded the critical scientific understanding of type 1 diabetes.  We can do this because of the help we receive from our many supporters, including our friends at Cigna.
