Understanding The Insulin Curve

ton-header

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gregory Clark of Chicago Diabetes Experts will lead a breakout session on The Insulin Curve at the TypeOneNation Summit on Saturday, February 25th.

Understanding the insulin action curve is like having a crystal ball. Knowing how insulin works over time allows patients to make sense of the glucose chaos that characterizes type 1 diabetes (T1D) and can help prevent both high and low glucose levels.

About the Speaker: Dr. Clark, who was diagnosed with T1D as a child, graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine before completing his medical residency and postdoctoral fellowship in endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then went on to research diabetes for more than 15 years as a member of the faculty of both Johns Hopkins Medical School and UT Southwestern Medical Center. AfterĀ  years in academic medicine researching Ā better medical treatments and developing a program to transition youth with T1D from pediatric to adult care, he founded Chicago Diabetes Experts – a clinic focused on meeting the unique needs of those with T1D.

Dr. Clark is on the JDRF Illinois Board of Directors and serves as one of the chapter’s Research Information Volunteers (RIVs) – JDRF representatives who share the latest updates on JDRF-funded research with the T1D community.

Talk with Dr. Clark and the other T1D experts at TypeOneNation, JDRFā€™s annual educational summit for those of all ages who are impacted by T1D. Register for TypeOneNation today!
