Applications Open Now: JDRF Youth Ambassador Program

in ,

Applications for the Mountain West Chapter Youth Ambassador program are now open! Youth Ambassadors support JDRF’s mission to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.

Please note: The Youth Ambassador Program is shifting to a calendar year schedule, so current Youth Ambassadors do not need to reapply.

Youth in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming who live with type 1 diabetes and are between the ages of 6-17 are invited to apply for the upcoming program year. Members of this selective group work to increase T1D awareness in the community; volunteer for activities that impact JDRF’s mission; and raise funds to help achieve JDRF’s vision of a world without type 1 diabetes.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined in this overview Youth Ambassadors will be able to socialize with other youth who live with T1D; seek, or offer, peer support; and have FUN while making new friends and creating memories along the way! Youth Ambassadors will also learn valuable leadership skills, build confidence, and feel empowered. The ultimate goal of the program is that Ambassadors will make a tangible impact advancing the mission work of JDRF.

2022 applications are due Friday, January 14, 2022. To apply for the upcoming JDRF Youth Ambassador Program term, please complete both the Child/Ambassador and Parent applications below:
