The JDRF Northeast Wisconsin Chapter is excited to welcome Scott Benner, creator and host of “Juicebox Podcast”, to The Bordini Center in Appleton,WI on March 26th, 2020.

Scott hosts the Juicebox Podcast and is the author of the award-winning parenting memoir, “Life is Short, Laundry is Eternal: Confessions of a Stay-at-Home Dad”. Scott’s daughter, Arden, was diagnosed just after her second birthday in 2006. On his podcast Scott interviews individuals in the type 1 community and discusses the simple strategies that he’s developed for managing his daughter’s blood sugars. Being bold with insulin is the key to his Arden’s health and to an A1C that has been between 5.2 and 6.2 for five years—with zero food restrictions.

Scott will be sharing his methods on the amount and timing of insulin to work smarter not harder. Easy tools for getting insulin to do what you want. Learn what you can do today to get started fixing your basal insulin, learning how to prebolus, understanding how insulin works and using your data to make better decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who self manage their T1D as well as caregivers at all stages of the disease to learn how to be ‘Bold with Insulin.’
