The JDRF New Jersey Metro and Rockland County Chapter is excited to announce that the applications for the 2020 Youth Ambassador program are now available! Youth Ambassadors are grade school through high school aged kids who want to use their voice to have an impact within our community.

What does it take to be a Youth Ambassador? Our core requirements include:

• Have type 1 diabetes
• Have a positive outlook on life and diabetes!
• Be between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age
• Commit to participating in the program for the 2020 calendar year
• Obtain parental permission in writing to be a part of the YA Program
• Submission of a completed YA Application by November 15, 2019
• Arrange for transportation to and from JDRF responsibilities and social activities
• Track and report your attendance at events, volunteer hours and fundraising efforts

Youth Ambassadors are also tasked with attending JDRF related activities and events (like TypeOneNation Summit, the One Dream Gala, or meet-up and support groups; performing volunteer work within the community and participating in a fundraising effort).
