Thank you to everyone who attended our TypeOneNation (TON) Summit 2024! Nearly 300 attendees joined us on March 16 for a day full of learning and connecting for our local T1D community.

We are fortunate to have such dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable experts in the T1D field who join us each year. Thank you to Lauren Bongiorno, Risely Health, Gary Scheiner, Integrated Diabetes Services, Jamie Miller, RD, CDCES, Cassandra Bazile, Ph.D., JDRF Research Scientist and Nancy Friedman, Psy.D. for participating in this year’s Summit!

This year, we also honored Dr. Harold Starkman, pediatric endocrinologist at Atlantic Health System’s Goryeb Children’s Hospital with the JDRF Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr Starkman has been a tireless supporter and advocate for our T1D community, and valued partner to JDRF for many years. The presentation included a heartfelt video message from patients, former patients and colleagues, many of whom were present as he accepted his award. Congratulations Dr. Starkman!
