On March 20^th the JDRF Cocktails for Cure event took place at the Figure 8 Island Yacht Club in Wilmington.  This inspirational evening featured a special message from JDRF CEO Aaron Kowalski, remarks from presenting sponsor Pierre Naude from nCino, and Carrie Roberts who shared her moving story.  Auctioneer Ben Farrell entertained the crowd with an energetic live auction and Fund a Cure.

The excitement continued the following day when 22 foursomes took on the golf course at Eagle Point in the JDRF Tee Up for a Cure. Before the shotgun start, we heard from Board President Jennifer Hobbs.  Special thanks to JDRF Youth Ambassadors Hope and Emerson who joined us for the event.

The JDRF Cocktails for a Cure and Tee Up for a Cure events, presented by nCino, truly showed that the Wilmington community are advocates for the mission of JDRF and that we are stronger together. As a community, Wilmington raised $395,169!  Thank you to all those who supported these events. Because of you, we have made amazing breakthroughs, and together we have the power to see this through to the cure.
