FAMILY TEAM SPOTLIGHT: T1D Super Brothers
Tyler Winters was diagnosed with T1D at 2 1/2 in October 2011, and his first Walk was in 2012. Tyler and his family were blown away by the emotional impact it had because for the first time in almost a year they didn’t feel alone. It gave them a new sense of hope for a cure. They walk not only to raise money for a cure, but to support new walk families. This year’s Walk has taken on a whole new meaning for the Winters Family due to the T1D diagnosis of their youngest son Tanner, in December, at 18 months. While Tanner was in the hospital, Tyler told everyone he thought they were the Diabetes Brothers so they changed their team name to the T1D Super Brothers. These T1D Super Brothers have already raised $3,630 towards this year’s Walk. Great job guys!!!
