Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) can look like anyone, regardless of age, ethnicity or race. About half the people diagnosed each year are children and half are adults. The rate of diagnosis is increasing for all populations, especially Black, Hispanic and Asian. It’s important to be aware of the warning signs of this life-threatening disease and take action immediately and see your doctor if you notice them.
– Extreme thirst
– Increased urination
– Unexplained weight loss
– Fatigue
– Fruity smelling breath
