We are delighted to invite you to apply to become a 2019 Beat the Bridge Ambassador for the 37^th Annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge! This is a wonderful opportunity to support JDRF Greater Northwest and further our mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

The Ambassadors are the faces of the Nordstrom Beat the Bridge (BTB) in our community and work with the JDRF Greater Northwest staff to educate teams and participants about living with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). The ambassadors will tell their T1D story and encourage their audience to fundraise for a cure!  Our BTB Ambassadors are very carefully chosen and each represents a different stage of life affected by T1D.

Being an ambassador is a significant time commitment. We ask our Ambassadors, and a parent when necessary, to join us for a variety of speaking engagements and meetings. Many of these engagements take place at Nordstrom stores and companies in Seattle, Bellevue and the surrounding area. These meetings are typically held on Saturday mornings or weekdays and last approximately 30 minutes.

Requirements:

• Between the ages of 8-18 years old
• Participated in at least one year of the Nordstrom Beat the Bridge with proven fundraising success
• Comfortable speaking in front of crowds
• Available to participate in ambassador engagements during weekdays and weekends
